FAQs
You have questions? We have answers. If you have additional questions that we have not covered here, please don't hesitate to contact us for more details.
No. We ask volunteers to volunteer their time doing what they're good at. But if you're interested in other areas (like balloon crew) that you may have never done before, we will provide skills and safety training as needed.
No. Whatever time you can dedicate to the festival is appreciated.
Nothing specific or specialized. If you are volunteering for balloon crew, we do recommend that you dress well for the weather. We also ask that you bring sturdy, leather gloves for rope holding, and solid, work-style footwear. Steel Toed footwear is recommended.
Volunteering to be a ground crew member for hot air balloons is an important role that not only helps the pilots launch and land safely, but also provides volunteers with amazing flight experiences! You should have no expectations that you will actually get to ride in one of the balloons, though.
Volunteers Still Needed
We had over 215 volunteers donate their time last year, and we couldn't be more grateful! Without volunteers, Rise Up would not be a thing! You are a very important piece to the puzzle, and we continue to be extremely grateful for all the amazing people in our community!
